As I was doin album sales research for this damn paper I have yet to finish on Native Tongues Posse, I stumbled across a new Common interview on Billboard in regards to his new album "Invincible Summer". The album is apparently Lonnie's foray into the ever present "electro-tinged" of late. On this album Common will be fearturing production from The Neptunes as well as Mr.DJ and guest spots from Cee-Lo and Neptunes' own Chester French as well as Santogold.
I think the most surprising thing isn't that he's doing this elctro record but the fact that he's doin something like this without Kanye West who brought that futuristic sound to mainstream hip-hop. I'm crossing my fingers that Mr.West comes out of his Glow in the Dark obsession to shoot something over to Com before its too late...
Here's the tentative tracklisting
"Universal Mind Control (U.M.C.)"
"Make My Day" feat. Cee-Lo
"Punch Love"
"What A World" feat. Chester French
"Changes"
"Party Shit"
"Dreaming"
"Runaway" feat. Santogold
