Wale Signs to Interscope Records
LOS ANGELES, CALIF. – It has just been announced on 93.9 WKYS that DC-area hip hop artist, Wale, has signed with Interscope Records in a joint venture deal with three-time Grammy award winning producer Mark Ronson’s Allido Records.
Mark Ronson will executive produce Wale’s untitled debut album and contribute production to the project due out in fall. Other tentative contributors include past Wale-collaborators Osinachi (“Nike Boots”) and Best Kept Secret (“Back In The Go Go”), along with Just Blaze, Pharrell, Kanye West, 9th Wonder, Justice and DJ Toomp.
It's good to see Wale is actually gonna get the commercial success he deserves. Hearing Wale rhyme over a Just Blaze, Kanye or Neptunes beat would be too dope for words. All this news did was make me want a Wale album even more.
THE MIXTAPE ABOUT NOTHING COMING SOON.

Back In The Go Go (Ft. Bun B and Pusha T) - Wale
I looked allllll over the web for a picture of this without the huge elitaste watermark.. but no luck.
New track off of Wale's upcoming Seinfeld themed mixtape, "The Mixtape About Nothing". Wale is doooope, Bun B is dope, and Pusha T is dope, that can only mean one thing: The track is dope. Some of you might have heard this before minus the Pusha verse on an unmastered version called Go Mode a couple of weeks ago.

PacDiv TSS interview
Mibbs: The best thing, honestly, I don’t want to say it too much, but it’s the truth that the best thing that’s happened to hip-hop in the past four years is, what? – Kanye West. That’s the best thing to happen to hip-hop in the last four years because you don’t know what it is. Like people still can’t say what it is. Is he conscious? Is he flashy? No, he’s himself! He’s a human. At the end of the day. He’s just a human being. And he’s just creative out of his mind, like he doesn’t want to look normal. Like, everybody gets on him for not looking like Beanie Siegel – but he ain’t never grew up like that. He don’t want to look like that. He see that pink Polo and he like, “Oh, that’s fresh!”
As much as a lot of dudes will be hating on that statement the fact is that's real talk. If it wasn't Kanye puttin Lupe on and working with common and pushing barriers there wouldn't be a market for "backpack" or "hipster" rappers. No matter how damn hard you wanna pretend like your hard you know at least 1 joint off each album was your ish whether it was "we dont care" off CD or "Drive Slow" off LR and even Fat Joe was sayin' "Can't Tell Me Nothin' Right" Not to mention he brought fashion back to hip hop.
Enough about Mr.West, Pacific Division is definitely the hottest thing poppin on the west coast right now so check out the full interview at The Smoking Section
